Due to shipping service restrictions between Europe and Asia during this period the project required a creative approach, meticulous planning, tailor-made solutions, and seamless execution to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the product.
Tailor-Made Tank Containers
Understanding the unique requirements of transporting cryogenic gases, we commissioned design and manufacturing of 60 tailor-made containers. These specialized containers were engineered to provide maximum protection and for the product, ensuring that it remained secure and intact throughout the journey.
Dedicated Chartering
During the pandemic no ship could be found that could or would accommodate this transport. The Schenk Intermodal team chartered a dedicated ship themselves which allowed them to maintain full control over the logistics and scheduling, ensuring that the product was transported under optimal conditions from start to finish.
Expert Training for Drivers
Recognizing the importance of skilled in handling the tailor-made containers, we conducted extensive training programs for our drivers. This training that could only be executed in a central European country at the time, as this was the only country where specific cryogenic gases were available then. We ensured that they were well-prepared to manage the specialized equipment and adhere to the highest safety standards during the transport of cryogenic gases.
Seamless Coordination
The successful completion of this project was made possible through the seamless coordination between our teams. From the engineering and logistics departments to the dedicated drivers, every team member played a crucial role in achieving this remarkable result. As a result, two more shipments, also granted to Schenk Intermodal, were needed to complete the customer’s project in 2023.
