In 1977, Alf Sutton, the company’s founder had the front of a truck painted with a Union Jack to mark the Queen’s Silver Jubilee.
Now 35 years later current MD Andrew Palmer is repeating the gesture and said:
“This seemed like the perfect opportunity for us to bring back the Union Jack to mark such a momentous occasion.
“It was of course a feature of the whole fleet in the 1980’s and proved a popular a distinctive sight on Britain’s roads.”
